There has been lots of birthdays at the moment so my kitchen has been a place!
Here are a few cakes that I have been making recently..
Little Bo Peep cake.
Cake for Guide Dogs.
Fireman Sam 1st birthday cake.
There will be a couple more cakes coming soon as there are more birthdays coming up!
I think I should just titled my posts as the above each time… very very bad at keeping this a frequent thing. But my baby is keeping my on my toes A LOT! I say baby, but my once tiny little cute newborn is now nearly 11 months. He will be 1 next month. But I still call him my baby! I’m not going to think about it too much and then I can pretend that he will tiny and cute forever! He is actually starting nursery soon (sob!) and spends some time and both Nanny’s house’s (thank goodness for Nanny’s..) which gives me several hours to sit down – this is what I literally do as my adventurous nearly 1 year old decided that at 7 months it would be a good time to crawl… 6 days later he was on his feet and cruising. Nobody told me how fast little people can move – it’s frightening!
So with all of the above crafting has been snatched moments of evenings when I’m not too tired. I need to get hold of a photo of the finished Princess Doll I made, it turned out pretty good! I am currently working on a pirate doll from the same series of Jean Greenhowe. After this I plan to make my little boy a Thomas Jumper – with the Thomas face on it – most people know that I am not the best knitter (the dolls are knitted but literally knit, purl, inc and dec and thats it!!) but this jumper has fair isle in it….gulp..
I have recently started doing some SMASH’ing in my new SMASH book – I had never heard of this before until it came to Hobbycraft near me. Anyone else do SMASH? If so let me know your blog address.
I’ve had a personal filofax for a while but never really knew about the filofax culture/movement – if you don’t know what I mean go have a look at Philofaxy (my links aren’t working but here is the website: http://philofaxy.blogspot.co.uk/) See what I mean by culture?!
My personal kendal was getting quite small for me so I decided to upgrade to a Finsbury in Raspberry, and oh what a good decision that was!! So here she is..
The colour is pretty accurate in this photo.
Inside front cover with zipped compartment, card slits and wallet type pocket. 2013 5 Language diary.
A-Z cream address tabs
Blank tabs in cream.
Coloured notepad in lilac, blue, yellow, peach and pink.
Business card holders or photo holders.
Black ruler and A5 notepad.
Here is a close up of the front inside space – there is a place to out your name and contact details and you can see the zip here and the card holders.
2 pen holders which holds a pen from paperchase and a Frixion 0.5 pen.
Closes up very nicely!
Just so you can see the size difference between personal and A5.
So there you go – my new Finsbury!
Let me know if you would like to see how I went onto personalizing it as many people on Philofaxy do. It is probably my favourite part! I also changed the setup to suit my needs.
I’m having one of those “I’ve finally sat down” moments. It’s been a while – 2 months to be precise considering my last post was about my little boy being 6 months old and he is now a cheeky 8 month old who is trying to crawl and drooling everywhere with teething!
Craft wise it’s been slow but steady progress. I have been working on a doll knitting pattern by Jean Greenhowe which I blogged about here. She is coming along steadily now but I need to speed up as she is a birthday present for my niece who’s birthday is in July. Here she is so far:
And here is her dress:
So that’s where I am with wooly stuff.
In other crafty news I have tried my hand at Fimo again and had some fun making lots of keyrings inspired by youtube videos, but here is an example:
Quite cute and fun to make..
It was also my niece’s birthday and my sister in law’s birthday so I made two different cakes:
One Fairy Castle for for a fairy!
And a jewelry box. Still can’t work out how I made both of these in one afternoon!?!?
That’s about it for now but I am about to do some draft posts on Filoxfax and also The Leather Satchel Company where my very special bag was made for me!!
My beautiful boy was 6 months old yesterday – how the time has gone I have no idea!
So this is a quick post to show how quick he has grown.
A few hours old and very peaceful!
Still looking cute now in his crochet viking hat i made him…but…
….not so peaceful!!
Love you more than you can possibly imagine my little Harry bear. Happy half birthday! xxxx
Hope you all had a good Easter? I can show you the little bits I made over Easter.
These were little egg cozies I made.
I also managed to made a couple of Iris Folding cards – I really like doing this but it takes a lot of time – something which is not very available with a 5 month old!
I was also the winner of a blog competition from Strawberry Mouse Crafts.
Thank you so much to Laura – the photo doesn’t do it justice – it really is beautiful.

This Easter I will be selling these cute little egg cozies! Perfect size for Cadbury’s cream eggs.
After being overwhelmed with the amount of owl hat orders this time I have made a set amount which will go on sale closer to Easter.
Here is a sneaky peak..
I have finally (!) finished all the owl hats.. I had quite a few to make as they were pretty popular on my facebook page (under the same name: Holly’s Creative Crafts)
So onto the next thing.. Easter!! I do know that Mother’s Day is first but as this will be my first year being a Mummy I want to spend it just being a Mummy and not worrying about any crafty orders. So Easter it is!!
I’ve had a few ideas but finally settled on one…here is a sneaky peak..
I would love to get a few more followers really…then perhaps I will do a giveaway. I feel like I am talking to myself a lot on here! Don’t be shy…say hello :o)
